Step 1: User Research

Persona

Persona were provided by the lead UX team, is a representation of one of our target users. This persona serves as a valuable reference point for our project, helping us tailor our UX and UI design to meet the specific requirements and preferences of this user group.

In this collaborative project, me and other two designers will be responsible for creating different screens. To facilitate this teamwork and ensure cohesion, I've established a sitemap system that will guide and structure their individual page designs.  

It will help maintain consistency and alignment in the user experience and interface design across the various screens, ensuring a seamless and integrated final product.

Step 2: Wireframe

I moved forward by generating wireframes within the Figma App, adhering to the sitemap as our structural foundation.

On the profile screen, my idea is to give users the ability to personalize their display to a greater extent. This means that they can adjust the size and position of each content block, and have the option to hide any parts of their profile that they wish to keep private.

The page will also feature a user status indicator, making it easy for their friends to join their game and play together.

The journey continues

In my role as the lead designer on this project, I've gained a wealth of valuable insights and lessons. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and fellow designers, I've honed my leadership and teamwork skills, improving my ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups.

Problem-solving and creativity have been constant companions in addressing complex design challenges unique to game engine APIs. Project management has also become a crucial skill, encompassing tasks such as setting timelines, resource allocation, and project coordination to ensure the project's success.  

These experiences have collectively enriched my professional journey in the dynamic world of game design and UX/UI development.
