Back to the Earth
The "Back to the Earth" project promotes a nature-centric lifestyle for simplicity amid the complexities of urban living.
My Role
I was the project lead and sole designer in charge of UX/UI design and Graphic design.
Project Description: "Back to the Earth"
The project "Back to the Earth" is a creative endeavor that explores and visually articulates a lifestyle aimed at reconnecting individuals with the simplicity and tranquility of nature. In response to the challenges faced by city dwellers who often find themselves immersed in the fast-paced urban life, this project advocates for a deliberate step back from the crowd.
The central theme revolves around cultivating a harmonious existence where people can cultivate their own vegetables and coexist with various animals. The envisioned lifestyle encourages a departure from the complexities of city living, offering moments of respite in the heart of nature. Daily activities include morning explorations in the forest, afternoon fishing excursions, and evenings spent enjoying the starry sky around a campfire.
In the context of contemporary trends, the project aligns with the emergence of getaway houses, providing individuals with an opportunity to slow down and escape the stresses prevalent in urban environments. It recognizes the need for a balanced life as urban stressors, including work pressures, financial demands, and relationship complexities, become overwhelming.
Titled "Back to the Earth," this project aspires to deliver a visual narrative that inspires individuals to prioritize the joys of life over the constant pursuit of financial success. Through various artistic mediums, it aims to convey the essence of reconnecting with nature, fostering a deeper appreciation for simplicity, and creating a sanctuary for those seeking a respite from the challenges of modern living. Ultimately, the project aims to evoke a renewed sense of harmony and balance in the lives of its audience.
Goal
I aim to inspire individuals to embrace a distinct lifestyle, emphasizing the importance of proper relaxation for everyone. By finding a balance in our pace of life, we create opportunities to reduce stress and enhance overall well-being.

-Jonna Jinton
About five years ago you left a big city (Gothenburg) to move to a rural community in northern Sweden with just nine inhabitants – what made you decide to make the move?
You're right, it's a tiny town! My mum was born here – in fact we can trace our link to the area 12 generations back, so while I grew up in Gothenburg, I feel a real affinity with the area.I knew I wanted to move here since I was five years old but didn't find the opportunity until I was 21 and I was here on holiday for four weeks while studying in Gothenburg. It was while out walking in the fields one June evening, I suddenly had a strong feeling that I needed to live here. So, I took the plunge and made the move. I had no money, no job; all I had was a little cottage with no warm water and no shower! But everything worked out: I got a little job on a farm nearby – and that's when I started the blog.
It's because of my way of life that my blog isn't around fashion and luxury. Instead I want to show people my way of life, one that's in tune with the nature around us and really embraces it.

-LiZi Qi
LiZi Qi is born in the 90s. She’s a girl who lived in the deep mountains of Sichuan (Szechwan),China. Unlike other online celebrities, although she’s famous on the Internet nowadays and always appears in beautiful clothes, Li ziqi was always wearing a modified version of Hanfu (akind of Han Chinese traditional clothing) back then. She was using the most traditional method, the most traditional tools, but a unique perspective to present Chinese traditional dishes.
She is a “Wonder Woman” in the eyes of her fans, as she can achieve what normal people cannot. Once again, she has shown people the styles of the Han(202BC-220AD) and Tang Dynasty(618-907AD) and let them know more about what life in the countryside is like. She also enables people to experience the life in the countryside which contemporary Chinese people strive for. For the people living in the cities, this would be like discovering the unknown and exploring an ideal way of life on the farm. People admire her, especially because she uses her own way to combine the elements of the ancient Chinese and the modern life, showing to her audience the traditional Chinese pastoral life and the process of Chinese food production. Her videos fully explain the Chinese people’s traditional concept of family, the Taoist thought of harmony between man and nature
